L2072 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Eufaula Housing Authority will receive bids for: New Administration Office for Eufaula Housing Authority until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, December 17th, 2020, at the Eufaula Housing Authority central office, located at 737 South Orange Avenue, Eufaula, Alabama 36027, at which time and place all will be opened and read aloud. Scope of work will include (but is not limited to): Construction of New Administrative Office and Site Improvements, as shown on Contract Documents. All contract documents will be provided all licensed General Contractors in electronic form. It is imperative that all potential bidders register their intent to bid the project with the Architect so they will appear on the Bidders List and be included in all Addendum releases. Plans and specifications will be issued only to those contractors who are appropriately licensed by the State Licensing Board of General Contractors of Alabama as required by Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975. Only bids of such contractors who are licensed prior to date of this advertisement will be considered. All bidders must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. Also submitted with each bid shall be a certified check or bank draft, (made payable to: (Eufaula Housing Authority) or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety company in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. E-Verify The Bidder must provide certification of enrollment in E-Verify. The E-Verify certification number must be written on the outside of the Bid Envelope along with the Alabama General Contractor's License Number. Each bid must include HUD-5369-A, the Non-Collusive Affidavit, and two Previous Participation Certificates (HUD-2530), signed in blue ink, by the bidder and on the correct HUD forms. Eufaula Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Eufaula Housing Authority for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bids for the purpose of reviewing them and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
