The Marianna Police Department reports the arrest of Octavin Davis, 43, on charges of felony battery, depriving the use of 911 and violation of probation warrant for battery and domestic violence.

In a press release, the agency said that, on Thursday April 22, at approximately 2:20 p.m., MPD received a report of a physical disturbance taking place at the Three Rivers Apartment Complex on Carters Mill Road. Officers arrived to find two people sitting in a vehicle, with the reported victim showing injuries to the face and Davis with blood covering his right knuckles, according to the release.

Officers reportedly learned in their investigation that Davis struck the victim in the face, causing lacerations to a lip and damaging the upper teeth. The battery took place inside the vehicle, just prior to the officers arrival, the release states.
