Marianna Bulldogs beat Rutherford Rams

Last Friday’s football night ended in disappointment for three of Jackson County’s four varsity squads, but the Marianna Bulldogs emerged with a 20-7 win over the Rutherford Rams.

The Walton Braves are next up for the Bulldogs. That game is away, on Friday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m.

Cottondale Hornets lost their away non-conference game against Bozeman, 48-22. The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers are next on the Hornets’ schedule, in a Friday, Sept. 24, home game at 7 p.m.

The Sneads Pirates lost to the Holmes County Blue Devils, 34-13. The Pirates are scheduled to play the St. John Paul II Panthers in a home game on Friday, at 7 p.m.

The Graceville Tigers lost their game against North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers, the score 38-0.

The Tigers will travel to Bristol and face the Liberty County Bulldogs on Friday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m.
