Jackson County police logs for Aug. 15

MARIANNA POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Marianna Police Department reported the following incidents for Aug. 15, the latest available report: Seven traffic stops, two suspicious incidents, three special detail assignments, one highway obstruction, one physical disturbance, one verbal disturbance, one burglar alarm, one trespass complaint, one obscene/threatening phone call, two animal complaints, 22 non-residential property checks, one assist of another agency, one public service call, three patrol requests, one open door or window discovered, and 30 home security checks.

JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and county fire/rescue reported the following incidents for Aug. 15, the latest available report: Three accidents, two deaths, three abandoned vehicles, two reckless drivers, one suspicious vehicle, four suspicious persons, one highway obstruction, two reports of mental illness, two verbal disturbances, four fire calls, 20 medical calls, three traffic crashes, four medical transports, one medical alarm, one possible suicide, one burglar alarm, three power lines down, eight traffic stops, one larceny complaint, two criminal mischief complaints, five civil disputes, one juvenile complaint, one assault, one suicide attempt or threat, one suicide by cutting, two fraud complaints, three property checks, two general criminal registrations, two sex offender registrations, one welfare check, three routine transports, one Baker Act transport and five threat/harassment complaints.

JACKSON COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

The following people were booked into the county jail during the latest reporting periods:

Donielle Sellers, 25, 3131 Willow St., Cottondale, failure to appear (battery-domestic violence).

Kenneth Shores, 68, 2841 Gardenview Road, Alford, resisting officer with violence.
