Sarah Michelle Horning, of Ruckersville, Virginia, and Michael Troy Bedsole, of Dothan, Alabama, are proud to announce their engagement.

Miss Horning is the daughter of Mr. David Michael Horning, of Ruckersville, VA, and Mrs. Patricia Anne McCann, of Scarbro, WV. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Toney, Mrs. Janice Thompson, and the late Mr. Ralph Thompson, all of Ruckersville, Virginia and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Alford of Las Cruces, NM.

A 2008 graduate of William Monroe High School, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Art degree in History from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013, where she was a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority. She is currently employed at Susanna Wesley Early Education Ministry, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Mr. Bedsole is the son of Mr. Thomas Bruce Bedsole, Jr. and Mrs. Deborah Bedsole Thornton, both of Dothan, Alabama. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bedsole of Headland Alabama, and Mrs. Trilby McCain, and the late Mr. Frank McCain, of Dothan, Alabama.

A 2006 graduate of Houston Academy, Troy earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Auburn University in 2010, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He received a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering in 2014 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is currently employed as a test engineer for the US Army at Redstone Test Center, in Huntsville, Alabama.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 4:00 in the afternoon at First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. A reception will follow at the Weeden House Museum.
