Tamsin Egerton scoffs sugary snacks to cope with the pressures of parenting.
The 32-year-old actress - who has three kids with Josh Hartnett - often sneaks off to the kitchen and devours chocolatey snacks to get some "peace" from her children.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper's Sebastian Shakespeare column, she said: "Living with three under-fives 24/7 is certainly stressful and chaotic - but ultimately a gift. They breathe energy and motivation into every moment of everyday day. Without that, I think I'd have struggled much more.
"That's not to say that I don't hide in a cupboard stuffing my face full of chocolate just for mere seconds of peace. I think we all have coping strategies that sometimes work and sometimes don't."
The 'St. Trinian's' star welcomed her third child with the 'Pearl Harbor' actor into the world at the end of 2019.
Josh - who also has a daughter, born in 2015, and a second child, born in 2017, with Tamsin - recently admitted that being a father and having a "great family life" are the things he is most proud in his life.
He said: "The thing I am most proud of is that I'm a father of three and I have a good relationship with my partner and a great family life and I'm still able to do good work and, as I've got older, the characters have become more interesting."
The 42-year-old movie star also reflected on the challenge of raising three young children amid the coronavirus lockdown, joking he wants to "reach for a bottle of wine and go to sleep" at the end of each day.
He added: "We've been trying to keep them occupied as best we can, but it's a lot of work and it takes both of us all day and by the end of it all we want to do is reach for a bottle of wine and go to sleep."
