Monday marked the 20th anniversary of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and Senior Citizen Center participants joined Coffee County Department of Human Resources personnel and Coffee County Commissioner Jimmy Jones as he officially proclaimed the day designed to protect elderly and disabled adults from abuse, neglect and exploitation.
