TROY, Ala. – Evan Crenshaw's incredible offseason continued on Tuesday as he was named to the Associated Press Preseason All-America First Team; he is a consensus preseason All-American after also earning nods from Sporting News (First Team) and Walter Camp (Second Team).
Crenshaw, who was named the inaugural Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Year in 2025 after being named a finalist for the Ray Guy Award, earned All-America First Team honors last season from the Sporting News and the Football Writers Association of America.
A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Crenshaw boomed 21 punts of 50-plus yards and placed 29 of his 68 attempts inside the 20-yard line last season. He helped Troy finish the season ranked 11th nationally in net punting (42.62), and he finished 17th nationally, averaging 45.69 yards per punt.
Crenshaw's punting average ranked as the second-best in program history, and he was named the Ray Guy National Punter of the Week for his efforts against Buffalo. He punted five times in Troy's come-from-behind victory against the Bulls, averaging 52.2 yards per punt.
